About the Artist
I’m Sarita K. Wilson, a Canadian illustrator and visual developer with more than 15 years of experience in television, video games, and advertising. I was born in Dubai, and at the age of 16 I moved to California to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Animation & Illustration at San José State University, a leap that set me on my creative path.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working on projects like art direction for Hulu’s award-winning Bravest Knight, world-building for Guild Wars 2, and creative contributions for Netflix Animation, Mattel, Parks Canada, and Lufthansa Airlines.
In 2014, I relocated to British Columbia, Canada, where I continued to grow my animation career, and where I also met my husband, who has since become one of my life’s greatest anchors. We married in 2019, and in 2023 we returned to Dubai, the city of my birth, where we now live with our three cats.
Today, I’m focused on a new chapter: reclaiming my own voice as an independent illustrator and mentor. Through my practice, I explore the tender spaces between memory and imagination, while guiding other artists who long to make work that feels authentic and deeply their own.
When I’m not sketching, you’ll often find me in the company of my dear girlfriends, celebrating the vibrant culture of Dubai, the place I’ve come home to once again.
